San Felipe Mexico - Ed Dorado Ranch

Has anyone stayed as the Ed Dorado Ranch in San Felipe, Mexico (baja). We are traveling from Utah to San Felipe in the coming weeks and would appreciate any information provided.

We live in San Felipe during the winter and first came here because of El Dorado Ranch. We liked it so much that we built a beautiful house on the beach.

ED Ranch is in the shutdown phase. It was a really nice RV park but has fallen by the wayside due to beach condos and Americans wishing to have the good life at below border prices.

The park is scheduled to close at the first of the year. We rode our ATV's through the park last week and there are still a few sites occupied by tourists but mainly it is occupied by construction people.

Sorry to shatter your dreams. You could still have a decent stay there in the next couple of weeks.

I was trying to get reservations (thru Coast to Coast and directly) for 1st 2 weeks in Jan. but they say the park is closed to all but members. They are having a members only gathering. We are going to stay at a place in San Felipe called Playa Bonito, the same name as a RV park in Puerto Penasco. They wanted a check sent to a Covina Ca. address to reserve a place.
Lee Casebeer in Portland right now.... Hoping or clear Siskyous on the 28th.

Yes, 3 years ago. It was a very nice place to stay, enjoyed the area and sand dunes and buggy rides. I did not hook up to the water supply tho. didn't want to contaminate my water system. had a full tank and preserved it for personal use.
Would stay there again if I went.
