Robbery Alert

While visiting the hot tub tonight at Beaudry RV Park met a lady from England who had her new Dynasty broken into on February 24 here at Beaudry. Also on the same day another coach was broken into. In her case the thieves came thru an unlocked window. She is in America on an extended tour and had recently purchased the new Dynasty. Normally all windows are locked. The day before she had been in service and she and the police believe that someone unlocked the window for future entry. In her case the safe was taken out of the coach and all her jewelry totaling many thousand dollars was stolen. Next to her was an unoccupied Prevost that was undesturbed. The other coach that was entered had also been in service. The thieves entered the drivers side window that had a sunscreden on it. How did they know the window was unlocked? Do you think Beaudry is warning people of this problem? They don't even have real security at nite now. If you come in late all you do is give them a site number. Just a word of warning. We stay here for service but may rethink our options.

John, this same type of thing happened last year at Beaudrys but they did not link it to service. Very scary, thanks for the warning, the Hollicks

Similar occuances took place last year. I recommend we get together as a group and recommend to the Management that they please correct their security situation. TWI 11731 2004 Intrigue

Here is the link to send an email to Beaudry Rv resort. I suggest everyone get involved that is interested in staying there... Let them know this is becoming common knowledge and that we will recommend no more rallies there as well as not staying there if they don't do something about their security.

Found today another break in occured last Friday. Still no alert from Beaudry. All CCI members should e-mail or if here talk to them about this problem. If nothing happens, no CC rallies, John nad Merilee Flynn

This is awful and I 'm so sorry for people who have suffered losses at the hands of thieves. The problem exists everywhere - including here at Outdoor Resort Indio.

I truly believe the best defense we can have is owning a dog that "guards" our coaches when we are gone. These break-ins are crimes of opportunity.
Even a tiny dog will usually make a ruckus is someone unknown to them enters their space uninvited. The noise will usually drive a thief away.
We have an Australian Shepherd and a Shih-Tzu. I doubt either would "attack" an intruder, but I know both would announce their entrance if made.
The traveling life is the greatest. If you can and don't already have one, add a wonderful canine to your list of must haves.
