Cold Start reflash on C9

Yahoo Message Number: 29705
We are one of the coaches with the cold start problem that CAT has been working on for quite awhile. We have had the new "flash" done but it did not fix the problem, improved it, but not fixed it. We would like to hear from others that had the problem, and if it worked for them.
Also, does anyone else still have the problem?

I don't know how far you are, trying to diagnose the problem. Make sure your intake heater and glow plugs are working properly. Make sure you are giving them time to warm up. Some times the plugs and heater appear that they are working, but are actually not working or are not heating enough. Thats where I would start if your programing is checking out OK. Don't forget those CAT engines are just warm natured.

L&L,

Sorry, to hear the latest reflash didn't work well for you. A few days ago I had Cat reflash (PS42345) my engine and was hoping this would be the final fix. Yes, I do have the same problem you have with a complete refusal of the engine to accelerate after the first start of the day.
I had Cat lash the valves while I was there, so at least I hopefully got something done even if the reflash was a waste of time. Next week we leave for a 40 day trip which will be a good test of the reflash.
