RC7-GS

Yahoo Message Number: 55220
My RC7-GS inverter control panel has gone bye-bye. This control panel is no longer being manufactured. Does anyone know of a source to acquire one or something that would work in its place. I never use the auto genstart function on the RC7-GS. I use the Silverleaf instead, so I guess I don't really need the RC7-GS and could get by with the RC7. The one thing I seem to use the panel for the most is the power sharing function when I'm on a 30-amp connection.
Are there any viable alternatives? On my previous coach (a 1999 Allure) I had a Link 2000 installed and really loved that unit. If I had a Link 2000 installed, would it require total rewiring or would it just plug in using the same telephone line/cable that served the RC7-GS?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Brian,

The RC7/GS has been replaced with the RC/GS, (no 7) The RC/GS has the temp start feature for the newer Xantrex inverter/chargers. Call Xantrex tech support to make sure that the RC/GS is compatible with the low voltage auto start feature on your current inverter/charger. 408-987-6030 They program up very much the same.

Brian,

I just "Googled" RC7-GS and came up with a bunch of hits. One site had them listed for $290. You can probably find one no problem. If you can't find the GS, a plain RC7 will work only you will not have the auto gen start.

You might also try looking on eBay.
