Dale,

Do you happen to have a 2003 Country Coach INTRIGUE 40SSSG pdf borchure in your database?

Looking for a brochure for a 2003 Country Coach Intrigue Suite Sensation and any information or knowledge you may have on it. I am looking to purchase one with 49,000 miles on it and would like to have some info prior to finalizing the deal.

I have the same rig, except Suite of Dreams. Mine has been trouble free, only issues I have had relate to the unit sitting for two years before I bought it. When I had it serviced in Oregon, the tech was a past CC line technician, and said the 2002s and 2003s were the best of the best (his opinion, don't shoot the messenger) because after that there were more quality issues.
If I had to do it again, I think I would opt for a 36' or so coach (just me in here), and probably an older one to save on cost. When I bought mine two years ago I got a heck of a deal. The market is even better now for a buyer.
Despite that, I am very happy with my CC. I cannot compare it to any other make, as this the only RV I have owned - I feel I got lucky.

I forgot to mention there are MANY CC for sale on this forum, along with some very nice older Prevosts. Someone has provided brochures for this model year also, and I will forward it to you.

We have a 2001 Suite of Dreams. My understanding is that the 01-02 & 03 are basically the same.
I believe if you go to the CC web site or maybe even Damon Rapozo web site you can download a copy of the brochures.

We have an '03 Suite Sensation and we love it. The galley is the best of any coach I've ever seen. I asked the advice of a Cummins Coach Care manager who previously worked for CC before purchasing and got the same advice as Jack. There have been little problems (beware the oil pan!) but, I'd buy it again in a flash.
I have a copy of the brochure. I'll upload it to the files section.

Oil pan issue on 2003 Intrigue

Greg,

What happened to your oil pan? I noticed it was pretty low. If that is an issue, maybe a skid plate is in order? Not that I will do any off roading, just being careful. $150 skid plate, vs $OMG for an oil pan and other resulting damage to the engine.

Jack, the Skid Plate that CC came up with many years ago would protect the FiberGlass Oil Pan from Rocks, but in a Deep "V" Swail wherein the oil pan hits pavement the pavement pushes the Skid Plate up against the Oil Pan and Bingo "El Cracko"
I have an 03 Allure 1st Ave with the low set engine and FiberGlass Oil Pan, a friend of mine installed Heavy Steel Skid Wheels on the bottom of the engine mount bracket. The wheels hit, raise the rear of coach while pulling in. After 8 years of driving the coach I know the angles it will and won't handle.

Thanks, Mike 03 Allure 1st Ave #30898

Mike,

I noticed on my coach before I bought it that the oil pan had been scrapped and was considering putting wheels on mine as I have a machine shop at my disposal. I was wondering if I could see a couple of pictures of yours to see if yours could improve my idea.

I backed into a sight not noticing the concrete curb at the back. When I told the coach to level itself, it lowered the oil pan onto the curb and cracked it. Luckily when doing my walk around the next morning I saw the puddle and so never cranked it. A new composite pan was $1,600 and the bolts were something like $20 ea. I was lucky to find a very competent mobile mechanic who was not only reasonable but, nice to boot. He loaned me his pickup for the few days it took to get the parts. I still haven't put a skid plate under it but, I watch it like a hawk.
