Fuel lines

Yahoo Message Number: 67583
I've read with interest the fuel line replacements. I did ask two local NAPA stores in San Diego, if they had heard of Gates Barricade(SP?)fuel lines. Both answered that they have a NAPA part for fuel line hoses, one gent said he thought it was made by gates. Knew nothing about blue hoses. Niether place could answer if the hose they carried was USLD compliant.
I'm going to check with the local Cummins or Cat dealers, figured they would have good ULSD fuel lines.
Please help me see if I've read things correctly the last few months:

1) Fuel line to generator
2) Fuel line to hydro hot

Assume these are both the same diameter (1/4"?). I don't recall much about fuel lines to the Engine? Is this the same 1/4" line, or something different due to the higher volumes.
Last question for those of you that have done this. How many feet do I need? This is the 40' 2004 Allure. I was 'swagging' it at about 30' for the generator and hydro hot, to allow bends and tie strapping along the way. If this is the same line for the engine, what do you think another 30-35' cover this run?

Thinks for any info sharing, as always, Smitty

Thanks for sharing, In a few weeks plan on changing on the Power Tech. Yesterday Looked at ours and cracked at ends. Went by a local Comm. truckparts store in Yuma and they did not know about ULSD Appl. Will run this By NAPA and Cat/Cummins. Funny working for Cat we always used Cat Steel Braded Fuel lines and our hose shop made custom lines. But like you Im concernd abour USLD. Time will tell on the Main Engine Fuel lines.
