Auxiliary air system on 01 Allure is not enought pressure to fill ti

Yahoo Message Number: 69354
My 2001 Allure auxiliary air system does not build up enough air pressure to fill my tires.
How do I get the auxiliary air system to at least build up to 110 lbs. of preasure?

In order to pump your tires up to 110psi, remove the air fitting from the tire valve stem and vent air from the system... Once the system pressure drops below the "cut-in" pressure, the engine air compressor will turn on and fill the tires... ("cut-in"pressure on my coach is 70psi, yours should be similar)... You may have to do this a time or two on each tire...

Or... have your Co-Pilot tap the brake pedal while you are filling the tires... that will keep the engine air compressor running...

I run 115psi in my drive tires and have no problem getting them pumped up with the on-board engine air compressor...

That's why some of chose to purchase Les Schwabs tire air pressure doubler. It does a fantastic job, in short order, fits in the palm of your hand, and is convenient and easy to use. Contact Bob Dickman's tire center in Junction Oregon.

Thank you very much for the information about the air doubler. I guess I will have to buy one seeing as Country did not let my air system get up high enough.
I have a friend who has another brand coach and his air system gives him 140psi.
I called the new Country Coach Company today to find out why my air system could not get more air pressure just to find out you have to pay for their tech support.

The pressure in your system has nothing to do with Country Coach.
Every system has an air governor that manages the pressure within your system. The governor is adjustable. The normal pressure in a coach or truck system will max out at about 130 PSI. It will drop to around 90 PSI or so and then return to around 130. If you are not achieving at least 120 I suggest that you adjust your governor or look for the source of the problem.
Don't expect an air system at 130 psi to achieve that pressure in your tires. My air system maxes at about 125 PSI but about the most I can get in my tires is 105 PSI.

I agree with everything George said. I had my compressor adjusted to bring it up to 130 lbs but that is not enough to bring my front tires up to 120 lbs. The air doubler is the simplest solution. I made a mount and permanently installed it in the compartment beneath the drivers seat.
