Hydraulic Fuid Effect on Speen of Fan Behind Radiator

I do not know if this is valid but I hope someone can share. The Hydraulic Fluid has never been changed, neither has the filter . We have 80,000 miles on our coach. I was talking to a Country Coach owner that indicated that the fluid loses its ability to create the pressure to operate the hydraulic fan, thus could effect the fan speed and indirectly the temperature of the coach. Can this be true ??

As to the hydraulic oil, the answer you were given is functionally not true. Way worn out oil will still work to create pressure and keep the fan spinning, and you'd be hard pressed to find any difference in fan speed.
HOWEVER, 80k is way, way, way too long for filters. Had a buddy whose filters came apart due to old age, and debris from them clogged the fan motor causing overheating. Also, the oil will lose its ability to properly lube the hydraulic system parts, and 80k is enough of a bargain for oil longevity, that I'd advise getting it changed and new filters put in. Mike
