old Fashion VCR Recorder

Hello,

It has been a couple of years since I have used the VCR (Mod Panasonic PV-V4524S) and have forgotten how to record and then play what I have recorded. I THINK I figured out how to setup for time recording but can not figure out how to PLAY, so I'm really not sure if my set-up is correct.

1. With the selector control on SAT: select the Satellite channel I want to record.

2. With the TV Remote > select Video 1
3. With the VCR/TV Universal Remote > select VCR > set clock > select Prog > set info.
Ques: What do I select for CH. What is L1/L2?
4. Turn off TV leaving the SAT and VCR on.

After rewinding the tape, How do I view what I recorded???? Do I leave the TV on Video 1?

Do I select VCR on the selector control? What channel do I set the TV on?
