HWH Active Air LCD control panel

Yahoo Message Number: 85240
I have active air with the large LCD touch screen control for all the features including one slide and auto level. About a month ago as i was traveling the screen just went off, the ride height and air suspension all continued fine. When I clicked the HWH reset button it came back up no problem. Then last week when i took the coach 30 miles to a workshop the screen went out again. I have started a dialouge with HWH and need to wait until it happens again to follow their initial check.
My question is has anyone with this control panel experienced anything similar and what was the outcome. My concern is if the panel goes down I am stuck with no way to autolevel or retract/extend one slide.

Michael I had Active Air installed on my coach 2 years ago this April . While , I have not had that issue with the screen , it is my understanding that the brains are all in the HWH boxes below. When I converted all new electronic boards were put in for the Active Air. I believe that the screen is a reporting station , not unlike the Silverleaf panels are a reporting station only. If , the coach drove and operated as it should, after the screen went blank, then that sort of answers your question. You may not be able to operate that front slide , as that does get operated from the touch screen. So far , I have not had any issues and love the Active Air. Money well spent !

Ron,

Yes I am happy with the operation, and sort of understood that the control panel was not inteligent, however it is my/our only way of interacting with the system so loss of the screen is a real pain. HWH have told me to stop the coach when it next happens but not to turn the engine off and unscrew the panel and look for a light.
It would be nice to hear if others have had similar experiences but without catastophic failure? Watch this space as they say! I hope.

Micheal When I had my active air installed , my front 2 slides, operate from the 4 inch screen , which is giving you trouble. If the screen quits , as I said , the slides won't be able to open. The HWH panel with the keyed switch is no longer operable. If , when talking to HWH, can you ask if this can be re-enabled. I assume , yours also was disabled. Thanks

Ron,

I have the keyed switch but when I asked HWH for a fall back scenario in the event of complete screen failure they said there was none! So I will ask if the switch can be bought into play in that circumstance, good idea!
