TV System 2005 Inspire Problems and Questions

Not that long ago, we put in a new Wineguard satellite system (Dish Network). We have now been told by Dish that we cannot get our Network Channels that we typically get at home. Is this true? If so, is Direct the same way. Seems very weird and we would not have wasted our time and money if we had known that before.
This leads me to the local TV antenna which I also upgraded to. Since I had that done, we still get very limited channels on the big tv and we get absolutely no TV of any kind on our bedroom outfit.
The folks who did the work don't seem very concerned as they claim "it worked fine" when it left the shop.
I believe the Wineguard switchbox may be "toast". Any thoughts on what to do next greatly appreciated. Does anyone know a good TV RV tech in the Surprise, AZ area?

There is a company, AAD that will provide distant Network Service for the 4 major networks out of NY City and SanFrancisco. Your local networks are spot beamed to a cone shaped service area. This is because the local network affiliates charge there advertisers by the number of viewers who see their commercial. When you watch out of area the locals don't get paid. They sued in Florida federal court and set a precedent, forcing the sat company's to only provide DNS to those who could verify a mobile life style, like truckers and RVers.
You need to fill out a form and send copies of your pink slip and drivers license, and if you qualify you can get your networks. Up until a few months ago Dish could do all of this, but the courts slapped their hand again.

The OTA antenna has a limited range. If the installer was located close to the stations and you are not, you may not get satisfactory reception. Also some antennae work better than others. Your installer may have chosen others.

If you have the Panasonic TV's, they are not digital, and you need the converter to receive over the air signals via your TV antenna.

Neither Dish Network or Directv are allowed to provide local channels when you are more than about 150 miles from your home base. To get those channels you have to buy 2 services packages from Dish because you cannot mirror your home service and then pay for DNS East or West coach local channels. It's an FCC rule. They explain all that on their websites. Bummer.
To get local channels we bought 2 digital boxes one for each TV. The front box we wired into the Winegard multi switch box and the back one we wired directly. Each time you stop you must rescan the digital channels. In some locations there are limited stations the digital boxes will receive. Depends on who is broadcasting. In major cities we get up to 25 channels.
Until about a year ago we had to watch the same satellie (Directv) station in the bedroom as we did in the living room. It's because in 2004, Country Coach didn't wire separate satellite TV for the bedroom. We had quotes of $1000 to rewire it until we met Dave at Sats2Go in Houston TX. He put in splitters in the front and back and hooked everything into the Winegard multi switch box. He's the satellite TV "guru" in my opinion. The bedroom TV remote is on "video input" to make it work.
