Cold Weather

I need to have my MH home for a few days and at night it is suppose to be in the 20's. Do I need to have the Hydro Hot on, to protect the systems from freezing at night?

Hi Dave,

If you are plugged into a 50AMP service, just set it on electric and set the coach thermostats where you want them to be. I'd probably set it at 37 or so.
If you have a 30A or 20A, another option is to run portable small electric space heaters, ones with temp controls.
If no electric at all. Then set the diesel feature on, and be sure your Auto Gen Start is set to come on to keep your batteries charged up.
Pulling in the slides, and insulation on the major roof vents and solar panel will help quite a bit too.
The drop light in the water compartment is a standard one, and it works well. Keeping cabinet doors to under sinks the sinks open, is another one that is often mentioned. CC's may not that as much as other coaches or trailers due to a bit better overall insulation. But pipes that run along exterior walls are more at risk then others, in any coach.
Best of luck, and sure hope other winter pro's add more insight for you! Smitty
