2001 Intrigue Back-Up Camera

Yahoo Message Number: 92253
I think my Back Camera on my 2001 Intrigue might be failing.
The viewing screen, that is integrated into the Panasonic stereo sound system, is a muted blue color with a faint outlines of objects.
Has anybody had this problem??

How difficult is it to replace the camera? If that is the problem.
Thanks in Advance,

Lee................Mine is ailing also. It will no longer retract and the screen is sort of on-again-off-again. When it's gone out, a sharp finger snap to either of the upper corners of the screen will sometimes restore the image. Sort or like banging on the top of the B/W TV just to the left of the rabbit ears like I did 50 years ago. Must be a factor of our (coachs') age. If you find a suitable replacement, please share on the forum.

IN THE REAR CLOSET , ON THE BACK WALL , IS A PANEL. OPEN , PULL OUT CABLE, AND DISCONNEST FOR 30 SECONDS, RE CONNECT,

THAT MIGHT WORK.

MOST LIKELY YOUR PROBLEM IS THE RCA PIN CONNECTORS AT THE CAMERA OR AT THE DISPLAY. I cut both pairs off and hardwired and soldered the connections when the coach was a year old to stop the intermittent problem and that was nine years ago. Still works like new.

Lee in the event you have to replace the camera, it is easy, just take a putty knife and pry the came off, use a razor blade knife to cut the silicon off that hold the camera in the opening and disconnect the camera wires from the wires which run to the front of the coach. I used white silicon to seal the new camera into the opening.
