Storage of RV and Tow Vehicle for 10-14 days

Yahoo Message Number: 95570
We will be in Seattle toward the end of Aug. I want to be able to leave our motorhome and tow car while we go on a 14 day cruise.

The Cruise Line was no help

The Hotel we be the night before departure was not able to help
I checked with the KOA in Seattle -- The best they could do is to charge us the full price of 60 dollars per night

Does anyone have any ideas that may help

This trip is to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary

Stan,

I just read a review of "Lake Pleasant RV Park" and the reviewer had done what you are planning. He stayed one night in the Park and then stored the RV in the storage area of the Park for a minimal fee until they returned from a cruise, stayed one more night at the normal rate.
I have seen this park but have not stayed in it. It is North of Bothell approximately 20 minutes North of Seattle.

We scoped out Lake Pleasant RV Park andthought it looked like a great place to say.. As it happened we had a change in plans and never made it to Seattle in the coach but we are pretty particular and we thought it would be a great placeto stay. Personally though, I wouold just find an RV Storage lot somewhere andf pay a month;s fees... probably not more than a hundred or 150 for a month. A lot cheaper than leaving it in an RV park

We have stayed at Lake Pleasant and although it is a bit tight it is a nice park. At 42' we have to back into the pull-throughs. We spend the summers in and around Seattle to see our grandkids and the Seattle area is not really RV friendly.

I do 't know which cruise line you are taking but if you don't need hookups the northern Elliot Bay cruise terminal has a huge parking lot and we have seen large RV's parked there.

Hey Stan - Congrats on the upcoming 50th! A milestone for sure...

You'll miss us in The Great North by about three weeks, we have to head back to San Diego so the DW can do the Daughter/Mom thing for her wedding. (Me? Sure, we have it easy. Write a few hundred checks, walk down the aisle, do the classic box trot circle - the off to by another round for the crowds:)!)

We made it to Tok, AK a few days ago, and will be working our way thru the Alaska and back down towards the Haines, then small water hop to Skagway, and on out towards Casier Highway for the Southward trip back to he lower 48... If we did not have to get home, I would stall out long enough to meet you in one of he ports, if you're doing the Inland Wateways... Oh you a drink for recommending John G. to us:)!

Sure hope you have a great cruise, enjoy!!! Smitty

You bet Stan, I recall that.

You hooked me up with John Gies for some work I had done. I also run into your email as Kevin O. and Mike S. do some emails sharing of info...

Glad you are getting out to Alaska via the Cruise. If I recall correctly, you were going to do that trip a few years back, but then I think the fuel prices really spiked that year?

On a personal note, are you completely healed from your visit to the Doc in Arkansas, or was it Missouri?

Best, and when August comes - have fun:)! Smitty

Smitty,

Thank You for asking. The trip to the Midwest found me in the hospital in both Arkansas and Missiouri. I am significantly better, but I still have some issues that have not been resolved. The best thing is I am down from 45 mg of prednisone to 3 mg and every ten days I drop one more mg. Septic Shock is nothing you want to get.
Will you be coming to San Diego any time soon ?

Glad to hear you're turning the corner on that not so fun health episode...

We'll back to Bay Park at the end of August, and probably thru early November. Maybe we could meet for lunch at The Galley?

Travel fun,
