Front to back wires

Yahoo Message Number: 96028
I have an issue with a cut wire somewhere that is affecting my otr a/c. I was told there may be some extra wires installed at the factory so I don't have to run a new wire from front dash to the engine compartment. I found some wires in the rear service bay that are not connected to anything but I can't find their sister in the front of the coach.

Any idea where they may be found?

Jason:

You may find the other end of these wires in the bay outside under the drivers seat.

I just did this yesterday for a brake controller. In our bay with the main disconnects passenger side last bay. There are 6 spares under a small fuse panel visible with wire nuts on them. They are marked B and D, the D must have ment dash. I found the spares with the corresponding D in front of passengers feat by the leveling system brain. I ran a spare loose wire on the ground outside the rig to check continuity.
My experience with a 98 Allure.

My wire was where Kevin said. In the engine compartment, passenger side, above the emergency stop button there were 3 wire ends with wire nuts on each wire. They had marker tape on each one as well.
I arbitrarily selected the orange one, #7. Then went to the front, left run bay and found an orange wire with a #7 marker on it. Checked resistance to ground and found that it was open. Tied the engine compartment end to ground and measured the front end to ground and there was continuity. I had my spare wire.
It looked like these wires were part of the chassis harness to be used if needed for an option that my coach did not have. I used it to light a red LED on the dashboard when the toad supplemental brakes are applied.

Checked in front of passengers feat by the leveling system brain and front bay under drivers seat and no joy. Will dig deeper this evening.

Thank you!

One other way to trace wires is to go to Lowe's and get a telecommunications tone generator and pickup. Then trace the tone to the front.
