Extended Warranty Renewal

I haven't figured out how to navigate past messages on this subject and I seem to only see the email postings from this group.

My problem: I have a 2007 Affinity which I bought last Jan. I am being hounded by Easy Care to renew it now. They claim to be giving me an extensive discount for renewing 3 months early. Last year, I paid $1185 for 1 year. The renewal rate with the extensive discounting is $2950...that's almost triple what I paid last year.

I'd like to find out where to start looking for a better price for similar coverage. I'm sure there is plenty of experience in this group

We are coming up on our renewal with Easy Care and we received a quote for a three year extension. We went back to Joe at Premier Motor Coach in Tucson who sold us the first policy and his price was more than $2000 less than the Easy Care representative. I hope you are not looking at a one year policy as the price goes down with each additional year.

At the moment I am still battling with Easy Care for not covering any of my transmission failure. I may be looking elsewhere also next time.

I have been hound by Easy Care to renew also, and my four (4) year contract still has another year to run. They gave me the same crap about a huge discount if I renewed NOW. Turns out my $7,400 contract would be $8,600 to renew NOW. Some discount! He said, "well, the coach is older and has more mileage"?. I was rather impolite with my reply and he got upset! I tole]d him that their business practices were worse that the magazines that try to force early renewals. I told him that I would consider renewing when my contract expired and he told me, "it will probably cost you a lot more if you wait"?. I then told him where to put both his contract and his company.
IF if do another extended warranty, I will look for another company. Had a terrible experience with US Warranty on my Inspire, so the pickings seem to be pretty slim. It may not be worth the hassle. I've had pretty good service for the small claims (less than $1,000 total) that I've had with Easy Care, but I'm afraid they must be in some financial trouble to pursue their current business practice.

The whole extended warranty climate seems pretty sleazy.

I had easycare on my last country coach and compared options this time between easy care, goodsam and USWC out of Ohio. USWC won hands down... I suggest you contact Vern Huber of Oregon Motor Coach in Junction City Oregon... he can get you a better deal than if you contact the company directly. He got us a great deal on our new coach Joseph Burkle

I have my service agreement with Allegiance that I bought through Wholesale Warranties. Mine is an exclusionary plan that covers everything except the items listed under a section called WHAT IS NOT COVERED. I paid $4492 for a four year plan. I have only used them once over the last two years. They DID pay for my radiator replacement without any hassle. The one claim I had more than paid for my entire policy. I worked with Brittany Malkin at 858-658-0530. My experience with Allegiance has been very satisfactory. RJ 2005 Inspire #51264

Thank you for all the answers so far. They started out by giving me quotes on a 4-year policy. I told them I was only interested in 1 year but they persisted with mulitple years...either way, the price is almost triple. I will start contacting the suggested agencies.

Ray... well they have 3 levels of policy... 2 levels of listed components coverage and then their Guardian policy which is an exclusionary policy. This is the way to go... unless it is specifically excluded on their brief list (things like brake pads, battery, tires, etc) it is covered. We got the Eagle Guardian 5/999 ... meaning 5 years and a million miles... with a deductible of only $75 for by far the best price of either of the others. I checked with several shops I have done business with and they all said that hands down USWC was the best of the three... not only that but OMC (a highly reputable Country Coach Shop) who was one of the ones I checked with just started selling their policies and did so because they found they had the least hassles getting items reimbursed and were the best to work with. that was good enough for me. And like I said Vern Huber there got me a killer deal.
