Hi Everyone, we have heated tile floors in our 2007 intrigue. It works intermittently. Sometimes we hook up and it works, sometimes it doesnt. Has anyone else had this problem?

You need to make sure your thermostat setting is working properly and you understand how it works

Per my prior message, here is the follow-up.

Zach, the lead technician at County Coach, met with me and we went over the below issues that I had with a prior repair, that has come back to haunt my coach. He took the coach under his wing and began the repair and on day 2, at the end of the day, had her all buttoned up and repaired. The previous work at Country Coach, in 2013, wasn't up to par, and the fiberglass was not properly laminated to the sidewall, thus, it separated, and somehow, allowed water in to the water access door hinges, which in turn, caused the screws to break off.

Zach did a much better job of prepping and adhering the fiberglass side panel, and by using pressure with jacks and clamps, got the job done to my satisfaction. He also took care of my engine driven air conditioner and found a small leak, which he repaired.

He took my complaints about the previous service to Butch, and he reconciled a portion of the bill to my satisfaction, and we were able to head over to Newport, OR, for a sunny couple of days on the beach, before heading north for the summer.

While I was in Junction City, I made time to drop by and visit with Kevin Waite. Kevin has always been there when I needed help, advice, or parts, even manuals in .pdf format. I feel that Kevin is a resource that makes a real difference for all of us Country Coach Owners. If you have need of parts, or advice/service, he comes in very handy. I believe that he still monitors this users group, but as I recall, his contact information is:

I am currently in Junction City, at Country Coach, having a former repair job, re-repaired. My original complaint was that the drivers side water access door hinge was coming loose. Either the screws holding it were broken, or the wood that they screwed into was rotten.

The tech noted that upon inspection, my area around the hot water heater had somehow leaked, rotting out the box that holds the hot water tank assembly. I concurred with him, and the fix was to delaminate the fiberglass siding from the coach, build a new hot water wooden box, install it, re-install the hot water heater, then re-laminate the fiberglass siding back into place, and finally, to repair the hinge screws/mounting hardware. My charges were about $2,000.00 at that time, which I paid on the spot. Now, two years later and only about a few thousands more miles, and the same thing is happening. The door is coming loose at the hinge, where it attaches to the the wall. I also noticed a bulge in the fiberglass sidewall. Air seems to be under it as it seems that the glue used didn't set up well. The tech came for the coach this morning and called me shortly afterwards to verify the issue. We will have to get a hotel room for the night as he will need to use pressure on the fiberglass siding over the outer wall to attempt to get the glue to stick properly, and will have to once again, correct the water access hinge/door.

I totally expect that Country Coach (now: Winnebago Country Coach), will pick up a sizable portion of the repair charges as their earlier remain didn't hold and was not adequate. I hope that I am not forced to argue my position in this matter, but we shall see. I will be sure to report my experience to this forum, as well as a couple of other forums that I am on.

On the way back home to Alaska, I intend to stop off in Albany, OR to upgrade my Silverleaf Engine Monitoring system with Silverleaf Electronics. This will also allow me to monitor the Allison 3000 Transmission as well as other systems, and provide a wireless connection to my laptop screen while driving.

Brian our floor is not connected to a thermostat but rather the silverleaf panel, it works like an electric blanket, settings from 1 thru 10. I would presume there is a relay somewhere that except an imput from the silverleaf that closes a set of points sending high voltage to the floor, if anyone knows where this is located I would appreciate it. Thanks Darrell and Marsha

Our coach is about identical to yours. In the hall utility cabinet down low are 2 gfi breakers for the floor heating. On our coach they are prone to popping off. Check there.
