No Hot Water This Morning

We have no hot water this morning. Actually, that is not true, the Hydro-hot works fine but the electric does produce hot water.

It is not an emergency because the Hydro-hot will do fine. But, Is there an easy fix? Perhaps a fuse? An adjustment? Anything easy?

First, check the boiler fluid level and the breaker in the panel. Then, if you have a volt meter, check the the voltage at the heating element. If no voltage, use a jumper to bypass the high limit switch and check for voltage at the element. If you have voltage at the element without the jumper, you have a bad element. If you achieve voltage using the jumper, you have. Bad high limit switch. This is as much as I know. There are other checks in the manual.

Good luck,
Britt

I forgot to turn off the breaker to the hot water heater on a recent trip (don't know if this played a part), but when I got to my destination, the electric water heater wasn't working.  One of the wires on the thermostat eco switch assembly was burned up (not sure if this was time taking its toll or my leaving the breaker on during the road trip).

Anyway, for my 2002 Affinty, below is the amazon link to the thermostat eco switch I replaced (not sure if it is the same model number on yours) and everything was up and running.  I called Atwood and gave them my water heater model number and they told me the exact part I needed (luckily, there was one at a local RV Dealer in Tucson.  Thereafter, I purchased a couple of spares off Amazon.  Good luck!!

This has me stumped. Leila has the motorhome parked a couple hours a way. Says that although she hears the burner light up, she's not getting hot water. When she turns the water on, there will be a moment of warm, then it stays cold. I'm headed over in an hour or so. Any suggestions where to look? I'd almost think there is some valve in the system that's not functioning.
Good gravy..these things have lots of strange problems.
Thanks in advance

One item to check is the outside shower. Sometimes if both hot and cold valves are open but the spray head is shut off the cold will backfeed through the open valves.

On my 06 Intrigue, I'd have hot water for a minute or so then no more. Turned out it was the stir pump.
