Bad fuel

While driving from Dallas to Little Rock this past weekend, shut engine off light came on. I then slowed down and it went off. This happended a few more times until I found out that it was comming on at 1900 rpm. Kept below 1900 and eased on in. Called service manager at Cummins Mid South in Little Rock on Monday and explained to him what was happening. Whitey said he would bet that fuel filter was stopped up. Stated that he was getting a lot of this because of bad fuel on the market. Carried in last night and left to be checked first thing this morning. Sure enough he called me this morning and said that code on silver leaf stated stopped up fuel filter. These filters had only been in for 2900 miles. He had 2 more come in today. Something to watch out for all on road at this time. Travel safe and remember have the fun is getting there. By the way in Dallas for arrival of new grandson 6/24/05 8 lb 6 oz 21 3/4 in Name sake William Carson

Congrats on the new grandson, Bill.
Where in Dallas did you buy the fuel? I bought fuel at Flying J on Sunday- hope you bought elsewhere. At this time I don't need that kind of problem. Have to make another quick trip to Georgia and do not need to be delayed.
