Rally Red Cross Class - Strokes

Since a stroke could happen to a spouse or close friend, here is a "test" I learned at the CPR class I took today at the rally:

If you suspect something is wrong -- a possible stroke, ask the person

to do three things:
1. Smile (paralysis on one side of the face)
2. Raise both arms (difficulty raising one arm)
3. Repeat the phrase "Mary had a little lamb"

If problems (changes from normal) with any of these, call 911 immediately. Immediate treatment improves recovery.
