Inverter/Charger (Freedom 485 Series)

Howdy Y'all,

The text box disappeared while composing my first message about the inverter/charger, so this is our second attempt. Disregard the first, if you receive it.

We replaced our batteries in Junction City with AGM batteries. We have not been able to reprogram our inverter/charger, either at the front panel of the unit or the remote panel, for AGM batteries, which we understand is very important. At the front panel of the inverter/charger, we pressed and held the Inverter button for 5 seconds, and then pressed the Charger button to enter AGM as the type of batteries in use. The type of battery setting defaults to GEL1 and will not change. Repeated efforts to change it to AGM results in a Fault (red LED).

Whats going on? Why can't we change the type of battery? What are the potential consequences of not changing it?
