We stayed at Bluewater Key in November ... nice place but a bit 'wind blown' from the hurricane. I am sure things are pretty well cleaned up by now.

Rented from Rita like most others I have talked to. There was a thread here awhile back about the keys, you might search for 'bluewater'.
Took the granddaughter to visit Key West and scuba ... no scuba (cloudy water) but we loved Key West.

We will go back, but not in the motor home. Things are a little tight for a big unit like ours ... everywhere.

I think Bluewater is nice but boring. Most people stay in their coaches rather then go to the pool or beach. We spend at least 2 weeks a year at the KOA right down the street on Sugarloaf Key. The sites are small but they have a great beach, pool, hot tub, marina, bar and restaurant, plus BahammaMamas restaurant is across the street. We were there in January and since the hurricane they have really cleaned up the place. The best it has been in 20 years, good enough to make a 2 week reservation at $95 per night for next Jan 07. They have also put a limit of 30 days per stay so the 4 month people are no longer welcome. They also said that if there is another bad hurricane KOA will probably sell it for big bucks, they got $62,000,000 for the other KOA in the Keys. We also go to Key West in Oct for Fantasy Fest, you have to have an open minded to handle that. Already made the reservation at Boyds for $95 a night and they are almost booked up already. I think you need to be close to town for this event. The Keys are a great place in the winter.
