Ride Height Valve

Ride Height Valve

I am getting ready to replace the front ride height valve on an 02 IFS Intrigue. Does anyone know of any secrets relating to the positioning of the arrow on the rotating portion of the valve? I am not sure if it matters which direction you turn the valve to get the arrow to point in the right direction.
