I think this is very worthy of a few minutes of our time. If millions of Americans take action on this, maybe we can finally get a comprehensive energy policy in the USA.

I?m sick and tired of seeing the OPEC oil nations suck the lifeblood out of the American economy and steal our freedoms and independence with their outrageously priced oil. The USA is sending hundreds of billions of American dollars every year to the middle-east which is, in part, being used to fund terrorism against America . What if we, through a grass-roots public effort, could convince Ford, GM and Chrysler to voluntarily take a leadership role in this issue. What if ?we the people? could convince our Senators and Congressman that E85 methanol/ethanol/alcohol alternative Flex-fuels need to be readily available at fuel locations in every American city, town and village. What if America made better use of all of our natural energy resources. Imagine the surge of prosperity in the US economy if we could break the death-grip of current outrageous OPEC oil prices.

I believe that the Big Three automakers should take a leadership position and manufacture every passenger car and truck as a Flex-fuel vehicle starting with the 2010 model year. I also believe that the US Senators and Congressman should take immediate action to make E85 Flex-fuels readily available in every city in America . I also believe that America should make better use of our wind and natural gas resources as described in the T. Boone Pickens Energy Plan. I believe that Congress should immediately authorize exploration and drilling of proven domestic onshore and offshore energy reserves. With hundreds of billions of dollars of American wealth flowing to the OPEC nations every year, the future of America hinges on our ability to become energy independent as quickly as possible and break the stranglehold that foreign oil has on our country.?
