Rich,

In 2002 they may have made them that way bot not in 2005.Yes there is the steel frame work The rest is as I described.I am still trying to find out about the ride height that slowly lowered the coach down onto my tires.I would like to know if anyone can tell me if they ever had the same problem that caused this massive and destructive mess. What caused it and how can it be fixed ?............Dan

Dan,

I replied to you the other day... I will make no statement about change this or that unless it is proven to be the problem.... If you give someone, a good truck mechanic in a high volume independent shop, your condition and my thoughts, they will know enough about air systems and such to hunt it down. It is a mechanical system and a fairly simple one at that. There is only a couple of things it could be..
1. sticking 90psi pop off valve for the aux tank or inflow block below 90 psi
2. sticking air governor
3. ride height valve
4. mechanical linkage to the ride height valve.

Another thought... at what air pressure does your compressor come on ? Think about this if your compressor comes on a 88 psi and the inflow block does not open until 94 in a long highway drive the air ride could run out of air and the compressor is still satisfied. due to it seeing 94 psi...
This is not a complicated condition. It can be fixed and fairly simply, you need to get to a good truck mechanic, not an RV specialist, truck mechanics deal with these problems on a day to day basis, 85% or greater of all class 8 trucks on the road today are air ride.

Please let me know what you find..
