Brake Buddy Advantage blowing fuses

Yahoo Message Number: 50766
I have a Brake Buddy Advantage purchased Sept 07. I have used it in my 05 Jeep Cherokee, 07 Jeep Commander & now 09 Jeep Commander. This summer the unit blew a fuse & fried the electrical outlet in my 07 Commander. I sent it into Brake Buddy & they said there was nothing wrong with it. Now it has blown the fuse in my 09 Commander & Brake Buddy wants me to "upgrade" to a new model at an additional cost. Has anyone else had a problem of this sort with Brake Buddy & how was it handled?

Ginny,
I had a similar problem in my '05 CRV but it burned up the compressor in the Brake Buddy, not the fuse on the car.
Called Brake Buddy and they said the 12 volt outlet in the car was underwired. They rebuilt the compressor and sent me a complete 12 volt outlet setup all at no charge. No problems since.
