Electrical system/batteries

We have a 2002 Affinity all electric coach. It appears to me that my batteries are bad (originals I think). The coach has two banks of two Lifeline agm 8d's and two inverters. I have discovered which Heart interface and which battery bank goes with which inverter, but as the batteries drain down it seems that the the two banks are tied together even when one inverter is off. Can anyone tell me how this system is set up? Roger Streetman
