Coolant Filter Shutoff Valve

Yahoo Message Number: 65508
I have discovered a very slight dripping of coolant at the forward end of the coolant shutoff valve where the coolant filter is mounted. Has anyone ever experienced this? If so, does the entire coolant mounting assembly where the coolant filter is mounted have to be replaced or are their O-rings or gaskets which can be replaced?

Thanks

Hi Ray,

The fuel fiter, which I believe you have is FS-1242, come with new O-Ring & Gasket which fit up into the Mounting Head. You may want to tighten the filter slightly with a strap wrench, that should correct the leak.
In the unlikely case you need to replace the Mounting Head, it is Fleetguard Part #3836095-S, approx. $70.00

Thanks, Mike.

My leak is around the coolant shut off valve, not the fuel filter. It seems to be coming out around the front end of the valve cutoff handle. Just a small drop at a time but over time I will probably lose quite a bit of coolant.
