Towing Connector Board

When we picked up our new to us 2003 Magna we couldn't get the lights on the trailer to work. The dealer finally spliced directly into the wiring at the lights and installed a three-to-two connector and a different plug.
That has worked fine but today I got my curiosity up and decided to t/s the stock connector. To cut to the chase I found my towing connector board hanging, unmounted and uncovered in the engine bay. All the fuses are good and the wires going in all work as they should. On the output side of the board all I can get to work is the running lights. I shifted the pin connector between the "A" and "B" position a couple of times but it didn't make any difference.
Anyway, I want to go back to as close to factory setup as possible. I'm pretty sure I have a bad board (especially considering the condition I found it in) so would have to locate one and get a cover too. On the other hand, I doubt I'll ever tow anything with the separate turn/brake lights so I'm tempted to just bypass the board altogether and fab up a harness with the fuses contained within.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jerry

For what it's worth I couldn't find the towing connector board where the documentation indicated it should be in the engine compartment when first setting up to tow. I eventually discovered it underneath the bottom drawer of the cabinet next to the bed on the passenger side. Had to remove the drawers to get at it. I changed the jumpers as indicated for the brake setup on the towed vehicle and it's worked fine.

Jerry, I looked into replacing my bad Tow Board, I found that fomer CC Tech Doug Beaudry owner of Country Boys RV Service had a contact has rebuilt units, but cost is approx. $200.00. So I had a mechanic take out the CC Tow Board and install a $50.00 Trailer Light Connector purchased through Carquest Auto Parts. I have an 03 Honda with separate Brake Lights.

Jerry:

I have some of these tow boards if you or any other CC owners are needing them.
