Extending Slides

I have always extended the slides one at a time. Yesterday in a campground I saw an Allure owner open all of them at the same time. When asked he indicated he has always done it this way. Is this an acceptable procedure or should I stay with one at a time ?

Stan,

Early Inspire slides are (Power Gear) electric. Most other CC's use HWH hydraulic slides.
The power draw to run all slides at once would be prohibitive (in my opinion).
Further, extending and retracting slides is always a mishap waiting to happen. Personally, I look and listen carefully when moving slides. Doing them simultaneously is unwise. Of course, I'm still working on the walking and chewing gum thing.

Stick with what you've got.

When extending the slides on my coach, extending both at once will cause a hidden self resetting breaker to trip causing both to stop.

Nine coaches older then Tom R. :)!
And, we also extend one slide at a time. We also open a window, or door, after having a problem opening the big slide one time, when we had both AC units running on high and all windows closed up. The last thing we do, is count to between 3 and 5 (Actually we count to 5, but I count slower then my wife:)!) seconds, before taking are hands off of the Open or Close button.

We do this, and level the coach, with the engine running.
This was from reading many emails, directions, PM's from many of the nice gang from this board - and a helpful conversation with OMC.

Working well for us.

Best to all, have fun, be safe,

My 2008 Inspire has 4 Powergear driven slides.

The recommended procedure is;

1 Run main engine to insure max 12 volt voltage 2 Level coach

3 Open door to equalize room air pressure 4 Operate one slide at a time.
