Inverter Self Powers ON

I will search this subject further, but I just returned from weekend camping and had to post this. After I shut down the house batteries and disconnected the chassis battery, I went back into the coach just to check that everything was OK, before I packed it in. Guess What? I noticed that the Advantium LED was on. Further discovery indicated that the Inverter was ON and supplying power to the Advantium. I thought to be impossible since I disconnected the house batteries. I then went out into the bay, and sure enough, the inverter light was ON steady green, and the Charge light on GEL1 was blinking. How could this be. I went back inside and powered off the Inverter via the Monitor Panel and all looked OK. But wait, about 15-20 seconds later, the Inverter Powered Itself back ON.
Long story short, I had to disconned the negative cable from my house batteries to stop the inverter from turning itself back ON. I'll post more after I do some research on this forum to see if this has happened to anyone else.

Ken, same inverter. Xantrex Freedom 458. Appears to be the same problem as you described in an earlier post. I'll have it checked out. Thanks for the reply.

Keep us posted, I called Xrantrex and they gave me the number to a Factory Trained repair shop near you. Lucky for me Orlando Florida was 50 miles away, Buck my Tech says this is common. At least you did not buy a new freedom panel like I did. This winter it goes on Crages List. If you Rand R the Inverter your self make sure all the power is off and when reinstalling make sure wires wont rub metal and cause problems. Glad ours is working again. Repair was 338.00$ Ken 99 Allure 30356
