Over the last year I've gotten many tips and much help from this forum and wanted to express my appreciation to all of those that have posted tips and repair hints.
On my last trip out to boondock for a week, my generator wouldn't supply power to the house. Reading on this board pointed me to the transfer switch and sure enough it was failing to switch the power over. I stopped at an rv dealer and had the shore power cord disconnected and the generator wires connected in their place so that I could continue on my trip.
Studying more posts led me to Dave Hill's post on replacing a capacitor on the board and for $2.02 I've fixed the transfer switch. Many special thanks to Dave for his posts and pictures that helped guide me to the fix.

Your' quite welcome Pete. The capacitor used by the control board manufacturer is not appropriate for the application and in my estimation is a design error. Reliability of electronic devices can boil down to very simple things and I suspect the designer of this product was not experienced at making things work at a temperature of -55 degrees C while strapped underneath the wing of a jet flying at Mach2.

Happy Travels,
Dave
