Dometic RV Refrigerator Fires may occur in RVs with certain Dometic refrigerators manufactured between June 1, 2003 and September 30, 2006. Many of these recalled refrigerators were installed in travel trailers, motorhomes, RVs, 5th wheel trailers, luxury recreational vehicles, fifth wheelers, horse trailers and other conversion vehicles manufactured between June 1, 2003 and April 30, 2007.
Numerous Dometic refrigerator fires have occurred throughout the United States due to a small fatigue crack that can develop in the boiler tube. This fatigue crack can cause a release of the ammonia refrigerant solution and if the solution is exposed to a ignition source or spark, then a fire may occur. If you have a Dometic refrigerator that you believe may have been recalled, then see the complete list of models and brands of RVS, 5th wheels, travel trailers, motor homes, horse trailers and recreational vehicles at ODI-NHTSA.

Thanks for sharing, Bought our Allure three years ago and Called Dometic as on our old 5th wheel we had a Norcold, Get the Model and S/N of the Refrigerator the call Dometic. I recall they were helpful. I am sure the Ins. company's are looking at this. Were all at risk here. BTW Dometic said call now and then as recalls are always showing up. Ken 99 Allure 30356
