Inverter cycling

Yahoo Message Number: 76386
My inverter seems like it is cycling or trying to work. When I switch on the inverter front the Xantrex panel it displays "ldsense" which I would assume means load sense but it never starts inverting. I hear a buzzing noise when it cycles. I checked all connections and found a loosed ground and fixed that hoping that was causing the problem but to no avail. The batteries are fully charged. Any ideas? I hate the idea of sending it to Xantrex for repair and would probably opt for replacement before that.
Thanks
Drew

Drew,

I've never had this problem, but my first instinct is to reboot it like I do with other misbehaving electronic devices. Disconnect the inverter from the battery bank to completely shut it down. After 10 minutes or so, hook it back up and see if it starts up and behaves properly.

Good luck.

Drew,

When we purchased our used (3000 miles) 2006 Intrigue in 2007, the dealership had to replace the Xantrex. Within the following year we had problems with it cycling, etc., on two or three occasions. Took the coach into Oregon Motorcoach Center in Eugene for service and, on their recommendation, had the Xantrex replaced with a Magnum. No problems since then.

We replaced out Xantrex with a pure sine wave magnum. Best part is the reps speak English.

You can also operate a electric heated blanket with pure sine wave.

Drew,

Have you actually called Xantrex and talked to support. I have spoken to them several times recently and they not only speak english, but were very helpful in solving my problems.
Luck,

When I wanted to get mine fixed they wanted me to send it to their service center and could not give me a timeline as to when I could expect to get it back.

My experience was that it was that it appeared to be an offshore call center that I was dealing with and they had no authority to make any commitment as to what they would do with regards to warranty or when it could be repaired.
When I call Magnum with a question I am dealing with the manufacturer.
