Coolant leak, shut off heater core circ?

Yahoo Message Number: 83276
I have a 2003 Lexa, with a fair coolant leak just behind the front generator, it's just to left of center (but inside and above left rail) up high somewhere and I can't get at it to see more, I'll need to have the coach on a lift and perhaps pull generator, and/or tear into the dash.
I had a slight coolant loss earlier this year I couldn't find (add a quart or two of antifreeze after an 800 or 1000 mile trip), but finally found it yesterday while stopped on the road while system was under pressure. It's getting worse, it's a pretty steady drip, like 2 or 3 drops per second. I estimate it's about a quart per hundred miles. With plenty of spare coolant and Silverleaf monitoring, I've never gone high on temps and would stop instantaneously if it went high, but I've got 500 miles left to hit Phoenix and I'd like to make it through rather than take a potential multi-day stop on the way.
Is there any valve etc. to shut off coolant flow to the front? I've seen posts in the past on gate valves and secondary pumps etc., but my recollection was that those were add-on valves.

Thanks,

Jim,

The exact same thing happened to our coach.
The coolant is probably coming out the a/c condensate drain.
The only valves on our 2002 Affinity are the control valves and they are closed if the dash switch is set on cool and the temp switch is on cold.
If the leak is one of the heater coils, and your coach is like ours you will have to access the unit from the dash inside the coach.
The unit is a complete package and will have to be removed and disassembled to get to the heater coils.
In our case there were no replacement coils available.
I took mine to a local radiator shop and they fabricated a new one.
After removal, repair and reinstall, the a/c will have to be evacuated and recharged.
It took me a day to remove and a day to reinstall and cost about $500 with me doing the work except for the a/c work.
I am attaching a photo looking at the unit installed behind the removable panel in front of the passenger seat.
