Any nice campground resorts around Santa Fe NM with pull thru and 50 amp service recommended? We are taking our 42 ft Magna there for the first time next month.

Thanks, Karen, 03 Magna

There are no RV resorts in Santa Fe. Compared to Outdoor resorts in California, there are none in the entire state! There are adequate parks in the area. I stay in Albuquerque on the Isleta Indian reservation and take the train to down town Santa Fe, and drive into Albuquerque. There's a park on Cerrillos a mile or two, South West of down town Sante Fe, Trailer Ranch RV Park, that I used years ago.

Karen,

We have stayed @ Santa Fe Skies on the south end of Santa Fe. Just a few miles to downtown. They have full service hookup and pull through.

Santa Fe Skies is the best one! We have stayed at both parks closer to downtown (can't remember the names) but they are small. Santa Fe Skies is owned by a family that homesteaded the land many years ago and they are super people. The night time view of downtown Santa Fe from the park is spectacular. Trailer Life can give you directions. Have fun! Wish we were there.

It is a great park, but do be aware that the entire center of the park is side-by-side, fairly close parking, with many obstructed views. If you like to be cheek by jowl with your neighbor, then this is the area for you.
On the other hand, we like a certain amount of privacy and separation from our neighbors. For that, the very best sites are on the north of a loop road that is on the (nominal) east side of the park. Site 24 is very good and site 25 is the best. Each has good space around it and an unfettered view to the north. They might not be able to accommodate 40-45' rigs, but there are a few sites on that loop that can. Do be aware that I have reserved one or the other of those sites, only to be told that the occupant wished to stay another day. I did find that crude, rude, and socially unacceptable. If I have a reservation, the other dude should vacate and go elsewhere.
When in Santa Fe, a trip to Tesuque and the Shidoni bronze foundry is a MUST. The pouring of molten bronze into the forms for the sculptures is a near-spiritual experience, and the sculpture garden (as well as the adjacent glass works) is well worth the trip. There is also a quite decent café just north of there.
