Bay door getting water inside

We have a 99 Intrigue and one of the bay doors drains water out when I open it all the way up. I am wondering how the water is getting inside of it?
I thought they were a solid panel so where is this water coming from?
There are places where the factory caulked at the inside, top of the door but I thought that was to seal where the hinge mounted. Looks like water coming from one of these caulked holes.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have the same problem. On mine the water is making its way in through throw lock assembly. It causes the fiberglass to become waterlogged at the bottom of the door. Itmakes it too heavy for the shock to hold the door opem. I had to drill multiple holes on the inside of the door at the bottom where its thicker. That solved the problem. I couldn't get the lock assembly to seal so now at least the water can drain out.

I drilled drain holes on the underside of each door to drain aculumated water. Then used windshield type silicone along the top hinges to seal. This is the very thin silicone which flows freely and wicks into the space. Cured the leakage for me. Be careful of trapping water inside the doors, will rot the wood reinforcing the hinge reinforcing areas.
