Jon,

My coach is a 25th Anniversity also. Your coach was built about 6 months after mine.
Water heater: it may be best to remove the drain plug {carefully} when the water is cold and then reinstall plug. When you refill the tank, it will then have a air cushion that it needs to operate properly. This procedure should be done at least every year. You might also work the relief valve a few times and let it snap back each time as crud can build up and that may get rid of it.
Dash A/C; The fill connection should be about a 1 12 ' from the drier on the right side of the engine. It is hard to reach for me and I have to add a can about once a year.
Controls: All my controls --gen start, heater, gages etc are above the entry door. There is a storage cabinet above the microwave in my coach. I did replace the Inverter on and off switch with a control panel to see what it was doing.

Hi Jon,

For 120V needs, we go:
1) Shore power, when available
2) Generator when running for either roof AC usage while driving or boon docking or house battery charging
3) House batteries via inverter when no 1 or 2 120v is available.

If we are driving and need 120v for short microwave usage, or say computer usage, we'll turn the inverter on then too. Our practice is to have it off unless needed. However many owners never turn theirs off. Some have residential fridges, as an example. Some like the seamless power if the shore power is suspect, the inverter jumps to house battery when needed.
Probably other conditions and habits kick in for different owners. No real wrong way to use an inverter, different needs for all of us.

Keep having fun,
Smitty
