OPEN LETTER TO COUNTRY COACH R.V.'S CONTAINING HURRICANE HEATERS

I am the President and CEO of International Thermal Research Ltd. ? the manufacturer of the Hurricane Heaters.

I have reviewed the postings to the Yahoo County Coach Owners' auto group where Hurricane Heater owners have complained about ongoing problems. My objective is to get personally involved to ensure that all of those problems are promptly and properly resolved.

ITR has continuously supplied, since 1997, models of the Hurricane Heater to various motorhome manufacturers. The heater is manufactured in our Richmond, BC, Canada plant and must pass a comprehensive electronic and mechanical operations checklist prior to final packaging and shipment. Heaters are not shipped until we are 100% confident of their operation.
Our Heater, like any other complex mechanical/electronic device, can experience problems once they leave the factory. These problems can be caused by a number of different factors either alone or in conjunction with others. Due to the complexities of the interaction between the heater and the coach or boat it is installed in, it is often very difficult to isolate the source of the problem. However, each problem reported to our factory is investigated and if it specifically relates to a deficiency in the heater, is addressed in a design update or improvement. Unfortunately, problems may occur with the heater operation that are a direct result of factors independent of the heater design or manufacture. These we have no control over.

We have been working very hard to address problems that Hurricane owners have had ? and we believe that we have resolved most of the problems that have been brought to our attention.

ITR does not want owners of its Heaters to be unhappy with them. I therefore request that people who are having problems with their Hurricane Heaters contact me directly. I will be personally involved in having ITR do its utmost to promptly resolve those problems.
