Tommy> If the generator stopped I would first try to get it running. Cycle all breakers off then on. Leave the breaker on the generator OFF, this should allow you to see if a breakers is the real problem.
Check the oil and coolant in the generator. Then try to start the generator. If it does not start it is a generator problem. If it does start then turn ON the breaker on the generator and see what happens.

Start by finding origin of problem. On my coach one of the IOTA panel breakers in the hall wall panel will have flipped off, setting off the sequence.

Next flip off the house breaker switch by the entry door.

Next, find the Silverleaf main switch (mine is in the second road side bay on a side wall). Pull the 'main' plug for 30 seconds.

Finally, try to start the generator by using the start switch on the generator. Flip the on/off power switch on the Onan. Prime for 20 seconds, hold down the Start switch 10-15 seconds to start. Sometimes you have go through this cycle more than once. Let the generator run a few minutes before adding load. Don't be in a rush as the batteries are probably down and will be demanding charging.
Flip the house battery disconnect back on (will need to reset the screaming refrigerator CO monitor if you have one).
Add one AC only for the first hour or so while the batteries charge before adding more load.

In my rig, turning on one of the big TVs (big initial power surge) is what usually pops the breaker so I try to remember to turn it on without all the ACs going.

My gen-set is a power-tech 12kw with a cat engine all the load that waas on all night was 2 of 3 ac units the all electric fridgeand any other ghost draws and the ac were probally only on fan when gen stopped. Reset all breakers none appeared to be thrown but reset all anyway. driving toward st. louis currently will have to check to see if gen will start when we stop.

Thanks for the replys
