Thomas on-board Compressor Question

I noticed today that air was escaping from the top of what appears to
be a regulator with a gray knob attached to the air dryer with the glass

bowl on it. The hole is not plugged .

Would this be considered to be normal ?

Thanks

Bill

Bill, If i am understanding this valve you talking about it is a pressure relief valve, not sure how much pressure it should have but there is a knob there to increase the limit or decrease, you may try turning that.

Thanks for the reply Marvin.

There is an open threaded hole on top of the valve. I have not turned the
knob. I was wondering if something was suppose to be in the hole like a
gauge or a pop off valve. I noticed air was coming from the hole when the

compressor was running.

Bill, I think I would rotate the know back and forth to see if something is caught in it, I recently cleaned my water catcher (the glass bowl), it had a lot of calcuim in it., I don't think I would stop up the hole., maybe increase the pressure a little, by rotating the knob. Not much help there,
