Using the generator as a step?

Yahoo Message Number: 91857
I was looking at a video on the 2014 Eagle and they made a big thing about several features, most of which I have on my 08 Allure! Black and grey tank spray flush, Aquahot, and so on. The thing that interested me was that the generator slide out was man enough to take a guy standing on the generator to clean the wind shield etc. Now that seemed a great idea, especially for putting on the sun screen etc. The Onan on my boat specifically says No Step on the top but I know that for me that is not a problem at 160 lbs, maybe different for a 280lb guy though. Now I think the slides on my generator are up to the task, anyone have any views on CC generator slides?

I slide mine out and stand on it to clean the windshield all the time. Mine is made of decent sized square tubing, heavy duty rollers and all in all seems plenty sturdy. Doesn't everyone use it this way? I've even thought about building a plank across, not sure if there is clearance though.

Thats great Dan, mine is serious kit as well the idea never crossed my mind as an option, I just have to get the ladders out which is always a pain if the slides are out. I will have a good look. If we are lucky someone will come up with some stunning mod to give you full reach.
The intriguing thing is that AC are saying all this is just now available on an Eagle!
