Noisy Aqua Hot heat exchangers fan retrofit

In the process of diagnosis of why the 20amp 'heat exchanger' fuse was blowing in my Allure, I have learned much about the AH system. My issue was a seized 24V fan motor in the exchanger under the shower stall.

What else I have learned:
1. the exchangers in my coach are from Heater Craft. HC does not make these exchangers now but does have a few of the 24V fan motors on hand for $74 plus shipping.
2. now that I have my system running, these fans are noisy. I don't think I will be able to sleep with one running under the bed and another running nearby at the shower. The fans also seem to surge and change speed randomly, perhaps a function of running a 24V motor on 12V. According to Heater Craft, CC speced the fans with 24V motors configured to run one speed on 12V to 'reduce noise.' It did not work, at least in my coach.
3. I have ordered one Aqua Hot Cozy III exchanger from Roger Berke plus four of the Cozy axial fans to retrofit two of the Heater Craft exchangers. There is plenty of room in the Heater Craft enclosure to install the two AH Cozy fans after removing the noisy squirrel cage HC fan. According to Roger, the Cozy fans are very quiet.

I am curious if other CC owners have done anything similar to reduce noise from these units.

Gary,

When you get those new quiet/silent fans secured to the cage... Can you take some pictures to show how you did it. Are you going to put 2 fans in each or do you think one will push sufficient air for heating that area of the coach?

Dave, I plan to install two fans per exchanger. That is how they are set up in the Aqua Hot Cozy exchangers. The fans are only $21 each.

I will take some pics and post them when I get the job done.

For Dave and any others who may want to do the fan upgrade/swap for their noisy Heater Craft exchangers, I have completed the work and am amazed how much more quiet the two Aqua Hot axial fans are. The swap was pretty easy since there is plenty of room in the Heater Craft enclosure.

You can see a complete description of the project with pics here:
