Hydro-Hot/Aqua-Hot
Yahoo Message Number: 98460
I can not remember if I posted a problem I was having with my Hydro-Hot (it's an age thing)..
But, I was not getting any water, HOT OR COLD, from the hot side of any faucet in my Motor home.
Cold water was just fine.
It was thought to be the mixing valve that was causing this problem. I had it fixed and it was not the mixing valve. It turned out to be a "CHECK VALVE" that allows water to flow in one direction.
The little cap that is inside this valve that pushes down on the spring that allows the water to flow from a source, to the Hydro-Hot, stopped working... corrosion most likely. Once this was replaced with a new one... everything worked as it should. It's a $30 item.
It was located on the incoming water line above the hydro-Hot. I have a plastic/fiberglass removable panel above my hydro-hot and it was in that area toward the rear of the coach.
So, if any of you have the same problem as I, you can look at this valve as the problem.
I would also like to advise you of a Hydro/Aqua Hot repair person my the name of Wayne Howard of Howard's RV Repair (Authorized Service/Repair Person). I was very happy with his work and service on my Hydro-Hot. He is in the So Calif area and does go to the FMCA Rally's. He can come to you or you can go to his shop in Beaumont, Calif.
