Power steering

Hello, we're new to the group. Have a "new to us" 06 Inspire Modena. The power steering seems to "grab" a little when turning the wheel. Would appreciate any comments or thoughts. Fluid level is okay.

Some coaches from that period had the wrong dip stick on the fill cap for the hydraulic reservoir as I remember and was my case. Some how it allowed air in the system I was told. Once the level was set the issue never reappeared. But it was touch and go for awhile. The issue seemed to be most prevalent at low RPMS in the morning when everything was cold. It happened only once after reaching full operating temperature. And naturally it took a little while to get the bubbles out of the system. I must have changed hydraulic filters 1/2 a dozen times before Mr Churchill and Dave Remington figured out what was going on. TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731.

We were driving down the road when our power steering went out. Checked fluid level, it's ok. Could it be the pump? Any thoughts? Another issue when driving the engine just shuts down. Pull over turn the key off and then it would start up again. Would go for about 15 minutes then the engine would shut down again. Did this 4 or 5 times any thoughts on this problem?

There's an electric 12volt solenoid for the engine that gets weak and will cause the engine to shut down

Engine shut down could be clogged fuel filter.

If you have a CAT engine with dry PTO, that could be the reason for the loss of Power Steering. This would be a very serious situation.
