11832 Fire

Hello All,

These pictures are hard to look at, but does anyone know anything about this fire or hear what caused it?. My 2004 Intrigue is number 11826, just 6 ahead of this one. I would love to know anything about it. Or what could have possibly prevented this tragedy.

So many things can cause a fire... One 04 era coach owner lost theirs on James Dean Highway, when a hydraulic line chaffed against a frame member until it ruptured, spraying fluid on a hot exhaust manifold. Fast and out of control in minutes.. (Thus, I spend a periodic crawl under our coach, looking at electrical, rubber, and hydraulic lines. I've only found a few areas that I've personally gone back and zip tied, or added extra insulation around an area... While these were not yet problems, in time, they could have been.

But, it could have been so many things the cause that seemingly engine related fire - no reasons for a rookie like met o speculate on root cause:!

I agree. An engine fire.

If the fridge went up, the entire inside would look much worse. There would be a hole in the wall and roof where the fridge was, the ceiling would have turned into a broiler and everything would be melted from the waist up. The floor and everything else would be covered with sticky soot and melted debris, etc. That is if the fire trucks got there soon enough. Otherwise, there would be only a shell left. We had the Norcold fridge fire...

Definitely looks like an engine fire, and probably while running along the highway somewhere.
