Valance removal

Does anyone know how to remove the window valance. Somehow one of my shades got moved and I need to remove the valance so I can remove the shade to straighten out the shade.

There are screws going up into the cabinets on the top and into the window sill on the bottom. I believe they are behind the shade on the top. If you use a long shafted Phillips head screw driver you can get at them. Leave the strip of wood that is attached to wall on the bottom in place and remove the screws that are vertical into the sill so that it easier to re install .
