Radiator Repair vs Replacement

Yahoo Message Number: 111595
I have a significant leak in my radiator. Evaluation last week at Cummins shop Roanoke recommended replacement. Has anyone had success with repair in the Virginia area. This radiator was installed in 2004 as replacement for original, about $6500. Comments appreciated

Is it a steel/copper radiator?

Hi Kevin, I think it is copper. I'll ask Cummins tomorrow for sure. Denny --------

If it is Steel/Copper you should be able to get it recored. If it to bad to recore, feel free to give me a call if you need a new one because I can more than likely get it cheaper for you.

Oh Dear. Sorry to hear it Denny. No experience with that problem (yet) so I'm afraid I can't help. But would be interested in how you detected the leak...
