Hurricane Furnace Pumps

2003 Intrigue 36' 11558: I suspect one of the 3 water pumps in the system is dead and causing a furnace "no start" problem. Suspect pump is the one up forward located by the entrance door. Has anyone located it and what kind of access is needed to get to it? My best guess is from the outside looking up while lying on your back.

Prism electronics in Cali has some Gorman-Rupp pumps available on eBay which are up to the task in hydronic systems.

I decided to put some cardboard down and take a look under there myself. Pump is easily located just inside the bottom of the front motorhome fascia. Now the question is - (the pump has 2 sections - Impeller and motor) can we separate the motor from the impeller and not have to deal with the hose lines?? That would make the job much, much easier to replace a bad unit.

Are you sure the pump you located is for the hurricane system or is it the front bus pump for moving coolant from the engine to the dash heater? The pump on my Magna that you describe is the front bus pump. Your's may be different.

The pump I mentioned is for circulation in the hydronic unit. They are suitable for the high temperatures of these units. My AquaHot has these pumps for: circulation, engine pre-heat and all zones within the coach. Photo is of OEM pump that had hose nipple break off but representative of what is on eBay.
