Rally Questions

We are planning to attend the CC Int'l Rally next month and were wondering if anyone has heard of or would like to try to caravan to the FMCA Rally that follows in August.

We have friends that have a Safari and they have a group going together from their factory to the FMCA Rally. Not sure if that would be possible for us to do or not. Any thoughts, suggestions, or ideas?
Also - Have never gone to an FMCA Rally or a large rally of any kind. What, in your opinion is the benefits of the generator from 7 to 11 or the full time use of a generator. Have heard some of the pros and cons of the exhaust extenders etc and the fumes you might have if you were in an all generator area. If you are going, what are you "opting" to do as far as a parking area is concerned.

Also - Do any of you have any suggestions of camping areas between the two rallys? Oregon should be great!!

Kathy, I just signed up and joined the group about 5 minutes ago.
Your question jumped right out at me. We love rallies - especially the CC sponsored ones. We're on the East Coast so this Aug will be our first CC Homecoming Rally and I hear they are the best.
As far as caravanning to Redmon, we discussed that at a rally earlier this year and it seems the roads might not be suited for long lines of motorhomes. In Maine last Aug I think we had almost 100 CC coaches caravanning from Bangor to Brunswick, exciting but it worked out just fine. I'm sure this will be discussed during the CC rally and worked out at that time.
